TMNT Mega Bloks Review, Part Eleven - The Nick Series Continued

Hello everyone,

In this next part of my ongoing review of the TMNT range from Mega Bloks, I am going to take a look at two more sets and series three of the minifigure blind bags.

Let's start with Leo Pizza Roadster. This set contains 54 pieces, including one minifigure, and is set number DPF62.

I would give this set three out of five. This isn't the first of these kinds of vehicles in this line, and by now it just sort of feels like we have a well-tried format with a slight lack of imagination. Having said that, getting the variant Leo is a plus point, as is the blue pizza!

The next set is Raph Pizza Speedster. This set contains 58 pieces, including one minifigure, and is set number DPF60.

I would give this set three out of five. My opinion of this one is going to be almost identical for this set as with the Leo one, sadly. Having the variant Raph is neat, and the personalised pizza, is cool, but otherwise, it is yet another fairly basic vehicle that has no relevance to the TV show or anything else.

Finally we come to the series three blind bag minifigures.

I would give an over all rating of four out of five for these blind bags. I think that series three is actually my favourite so far. I really love the Triceraton, and the new format for the Kraang is really awesome. Space Donnie is pretty cool, and Leatherhead looks great, too. April is probably the "worst" figure of the lot, but not because she looks bad, but just because she has no hand or arm articulation, which is a shame. These bags continue to be good value for money, providing a fun and affordable way to get ahold of some variant turtle figures, as well as characters that haven't yet featured in any of the main sets. I can't wait to see who will show up in series four!

That's all for today! Have a great day everyone,

Dan.
