Bonne Fête Nationale!

Bonne Fête Nationale! Happy Bastille Day to all our French friends and followers!

I wanted to share with you some of our adventures that are French related, including the City of Lights, AKA Paris, all things French at Disneyland Paris, France at Epcot, the French street at Universal Studios, Hollywood, and a little French village in the Magic Kingdom, FL.

Let's start with the real thing, and the capital city of France, Paris.

At Disneyland Paris you can walk through a Disney-fied version of Paris at the Ratatouille themed area of the Walt Disney Studios theme park. This area opened in the summer of 2014, and features one of the most amazing Disney attractions (one of my top personal favourites), an outstanding authentic French cuisine restaurant and a store selling all things French and Disney.

A number of years ago we were fortunate enough to meet Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Duffy the Disney Bear in their cute French outfits while at Disneyland Paris.

French rats Remy and Emile from the Disney-PIXAR film 'Ratatouille' also used to meet frequently at the Parisian theme parks.

Universal Studios Hollywood has (or at least used to have, I'm not sure about at present with all their redevelopment), a French street in their upper lot. Here are some photos from when we visited at Christmastime in 2012.

Another decidedly French Disney movie is the beloved classic 'Beauty and the Beast'. We have been lucky enough to meet the characters from that movie numerous times at the various Disney theme parks over the years.

That last photo of the Beast was taken inside Be Our Guest, an elaborate dining location at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, Florida. The whole area is themed to Belle and Gaston's little French village.

The classic Disney movie 'The Aristocats' was set in France, and the adorable French kittens Marie, Toulouse and Berlioz have greeted guests at Disneyland Paris on numerous occasions. Once again, we have been fortunate to meet them in their home country while at Disneyland Paris.

The final significant French themed location I want to share is France at Walt Disney World's Epcot. France at Epcot is home to an attraction showcasing the wonders of the great republique, several restaurants and stores, and even its own Eiffel Tower!

Happy Bastille Day everyone!
