Six Flags America, A Short Report

Hello everyone,

On Saturday Jon and I visited Six Flags America near Washington DC. We have annual passes for Six Flags that are good for all the parks across the US, and while we usually go to the one in Jackson, NJ, we thought we would stop by the one in Maryland to take a look around, and meet some characters.

We have actually been to this one once before, in October 2008, and honestly we were extremely disappointed. Now that we have the annual pass for NJ, and it includes the other parks, we wanted to see if things had improved in Maryland. While I don't like to really bash places too much, in this instance, I need to be brutally honest. Six Flags America is a really dilapidated, sad looking place. If our passes didn't include the park already, we would never visit there - and if I had paid to go there, I almost certainly would have complained!

The park being miserable aside, we really went to just meet the characters, and in that regard we had success, and had fun. We managed to meet ten characters in two hours, three of which were new to us.

We managed to meet Speedy Gonzales, Marvin the Martian, Yosemite Sam (all three of whom were new to us), Bugs Bunny, Lola, Sylvester, Taz, Foghorn Leghorn, Daffy Duck and Wile E. Coyote.

We might visit again in a couple of weeks time because we asked about other characters, and we were told with some certainty that some others that we haven't meet (and want to) usually appear fairly often - so it might be worth stopping by just to see if they're out, when we're in the area.

Have a great day everyone,

Dan.
