LEGO Ideas Dr Who Review

Hello everyone,

Today I am going to be reviewing the Dr Who LEGO set, which is part of the LEGO Ideas range.

The set contains 623 pieces, including four minifigures and two Daleks. The set number is 21304, and can be purchased on Amazon.com, here.

There are no helpful numbered construction bags like most other larger LEGO sets, but I took this photo mid-construction anyway:

And finally the completed set:

Clara has two expressions:

The Eleventh Doctor also has two expression, plus a fez:

I would give this set five out of five. I really love that the you can separate the Tardis phone box and fold it up to make a complete exterior piece. Then, you can open it out, attach it to the interior, and it serves as the entranceway into the Tardis. It's a neat design and well thought out. It's good that they included two Doctors, however, I am not sure about when Matt Smith's Doctor wears the fez - you can see both facial expressions, and that is a little disconcerting! Really, they should have designed a complete moulded hair and hat piece, but I suppose you can't have everything!

The inclusion of two of the Doctor's most famous adversaries - the Daleks and the Weeping Angels - was a smart move, and both look really good.

Over all this is a great set for collectors and Dr Who fans, with some fun pieces and details that bring the Dr Who universe to life.

Have a great day everyone,

Dan.
